TRIGGERS. Things like falling, having a lot of objects fall on top of him, or being buried beneath something, will make him flash back to the day when his enemies buried him alive beneath the remains of a building. This was an attempt to kill him, and healing from it was a long and complicated process. Due to this he will also feel uncomfortable in very confined spaces. In conversation, he tends to react negatively to people being treated badly, to discrimination of any kind, and to conflict/war. He will always maintain his own neutrality and will not want to engage in political discussions of any kind. MEDICAL INFO. Mirar is exceptionally healthy. He is a powerful sorcerer with particular magical Gifts in the area of healing, to the extent that he has been able to use those powers to stop his own aging process. He is essentially immortal; he will keep living, and will not get ill or grow older, and he will be able to heal any injuries that he gains. He can also heal himself from poison. He can, however, still be hurt by mortal weapons - he'll just heal from the effects. For the purposes of the game, should he sustain enough damage to kill a normal human, he will lapse into a comatose state for at least one day (and longer, depending on how much damage is sustained) until his magic is able to heal his body enough to let him wake. Although he will not die and return via the Morgue, he will wake up with a death penalty which will last just as long as it would on any other character. MENTAL INFO. Mirar has a limited level of psychic awareness. He is able to sense the emotions of those around him, and can send his own thoughts outwards to skim other minds and interact with them through dreams. I will go into more detail about how those powers could potentially affect other characters below. For himself, Mirar is able to shield his mind from other psychics. This is one of his magical Gifts, which involves using magic as a mental 'fog', which keeps other inquiring minds out of his own. FOURTH-WALLING. Feel free! His name is well known in his own world so fame of any kind wouldn't really phase him. It would likely amuse him, he won't take it too seriously. PHYSICAL CONTACT. Go ahead! It won't bother him at all. ROMANCE/SEXUAL RELATIONS. In the past, Mirar was well known as a seducer of many women. He had romantic inclinations towards none, and in fact believed himself incapable of such feelings...until he met Auraya Dyer. He is entirely in love with her, and given his canon point, he believes there is hope she may one day feel the same. Due to that, he will reject both romantic and sexual advances from anyone else. He's deeply sorry, ladies. INJURE/KILL. Injuring should be fine - as noted above, Mirar will just heal. Killing may be fine depending on the circumstance. However, Mirar does have fairly substantial magical Gifts that make him difficult to injure - most notably, he can raise a magical shield called a barrier to defend himself when he's attacked. Mirar's Powers.




Mirar is one of the six most powerful sorcerers in his world - called either Immortals or 'Wilds' in his world. He draws magic from the world around him, and has the ability to utilise it in a range of different ways that he calls 'Gifts'. Mirar's Gifts fall into three main categories:

Kinesthetics

Mirar can manipulate the magical energy around him to produce a number of different physical effects. This includes:

- Exciting this energy in order to generate heat and light. This can be a small light, or just enough heat to warm a bowl of food. By drawing more magic, it can become an extremely intense light source, and enough heat to start a fire.
- Applying this energy forcefully, creating a solid block of magic that can be manipulated. This would be used either by expelling it outwards to create a 'blast' of power, or by creating a shield around himself which he calls a barrier. Since he refuses to harm humans or participate in violence, Mirar uses blasts of magic rarely; for example he used it to free himself when he was caught in an avalanche. He uses barriers far more frequently since they are protective in nature and can be used in defence of both himself, and the people he is healing.
- Applying this energy to small objects, encouraging them to move or change direction. This is in essence a limited form of telekinesis. He will not be able to move large objects, or use this power to effect the Charon in Exit Void.

Healing

The Gift for which Mirar is best known is healing. It is what he calls his 'innate' Gift - the one which best defines him. It manifests in the following ways:

- He can see and manipulate how organisms are constructed at the cellular level. This means that he can encourage cells that have come apart to join together, enabling him to accelerate the healing of wounds, remove scar tissue, unblock blood vessels, and in general restore a body to its normal state.
- He is able to sense and isolate where foreign bodies have corrupted cells, and remove what is foreign. This enables him to locate poisons and cause them to exit the body. It also allows him to discover strains of viruses and diseases within a person, and destroy them with his mind. He will only take this action if the person's body is completely failing to fight the disease on their own, since to destroy it with magic will mean that the body will not develop natural immunity to the disease.
- By using these Gifts to their fullest extent on his own body, Mirar stopped his own aging process as described above.

As a general rule, Mirar promotes and aids the body's own healing, and only takes over the healing process completely if the person would otherwise die. As well as his magical Gifts, he possesses a vast knowledge of medicinal Cures that can be used to treat illnesses and promote healing. Where the application of a Cure is enough to help someone, Mirar will use that, employing his own magic only where it is needed. He also prefers to help the body to heal itself rather than doing all the work for it. He does what the body needs, no more and no less.

**Note: In Exit Void, Mirar's healing gifts will work on other characters, and he will be able to heal chronic health conditions with your permission. However, he will not be able to heal terminal illnesses, and in truth would be unlikely to try since he would see that as something that would end with a natural death anyway.**

Mental

As noted above, Mirar has a limited level of psychic awareness which manifests itself in the following ways:

- He can sense the emotions of those around him. This is not the same as being able to read their minds, since he cannot see what they are thinking. He can however gain a sense of the feelings behind their words.
- He can shield his mind, as described above.
- He can enter what is known as a 'dream trance', and through this, skim the minds of the people around him. If the person is awake when he skims, he will get a sense of their emotions and be able to see what they are seeing. More often he will seek sleeping minds, where he can actively communicate with the mind rather than just touching it passively. When he does this he generally intends to hide his presence, though he can be discovered if the person realises he's there and can touch other minds themselves. He is therefore not entirely undetectable. When in this state, he can introduce ideas to the foreign mind to get a general sense of how they would react/what their opinions would be/what their prejudices are. He still will not hear exact thoughts, and he cannot actively control or manipulate a person's mind beyond that he can suggest ideas and provide information to see how the person reacts.
- He can initiate a 'dream link' with another mind. This requires the person to be either asleep, or in a dream trace as described above, and it requires them to answer and accept the link. It does not require them to have mental powers of their own, though it does require their permission. During a dream link, he can mentally converse with the other person. Memories and thoughts can be shared. The state can also constitute a shared dream where the two minds can imagine themselves interacting physically. If their dream-selves touch, it will feel similar to actual touch since they will be utilising the memory of touch. As the founder of the Dreamweavers, Mirar invented a ritual of dreamlinking whereby Dreamweavers would join hands and share thoughts, seek solutions to problems and ask for advice, share learning and experience and commune with each other. They will generally transfer memories in this state, which will then be called 'link' memories. Mirar can use a link of this nature to transfer teaching, such as when he taught Auraya how to heal in canon. Dreamlinking and mind-skimming are the only magical gifts that can still be used within a magical Void because, according to Mirar, they do not require magic to be in constant supply. It would appear that magic is only used to create the initial link between minds, which then stays constant until one of the participants disconnects.

With regards being a werewolf, I think you're right that he wouldn't be able to heal it. Because it means a permanent, fundamental change to her whole body, including altering how perceptive her senses are, I think he would be limited to restoring her TO that state. I don't think he'd be able to alter her state completely.

From an IC perspective I also think he would view the werewolf as just a part of Marion, so he wouldn't see it as something that even need to be healed. If he found out about it he would probably try to encourage her to accept it and not think of it as an illness. If you wanted her to ask him to try it, and he looked at how it was integrated with her body, that is probably the line he would take. If you're interested in that sort of CR we could absolutely do it!

For sensing emotions, yes, it's a constant thing! It only works with face to face communication, though, so it wouldn't be an issue over the Network. Face to face, though, it's always active so brackets would really help!

With regards dreaming, Mirar is certainly detectable when he enters a mind. He's not always subtle. I would always plot that kind of thing out with you beforehand. The same would be true of dreamlinking! Zelos' permission would be required before the link could be established and if they don't give it, the link won't happen c:

All in all, I figure when Kenzi does sleep her dreams aren't very pleasant. Which is part of why she drinks so much just before bed. Unfortunately she won't really have that option here.

With regards Nori's psychic defenses, would you be content with me taking the line that he wouldn't be able to get around her shields? His canon doesn't really deal with different levels of shields, it only states that he can't sense the mind of someone who has a shield like his own. He therefore would have no experience in breaking down the kind of defenses taught by the X-Men, and if he was aware that a shield was there, he probably wouldn't try to break through it.

Dreamlinking would involve Nori's own permission, so I think that would still be possible if it ever came up between them.

Re. healing - no problem at all!

For the dreaming parts. I think if Charles' shields were subconscious, Mirar wouldn't be able to skim his dreaming mind, he would just come up against his shield (which he wouldn't try to break).

With dreamlinking, the only way a link can be established is for Mirar to call out a person's name, and then have them respond positively to that. If they didn't respond, or they shied away from it, the link wouldn't establish in the first place. Would I be right in thinking that Charles would be able to hear a mental call through his own telepathy? Or would you want to have it that a request of this nature wouldn't be heard by Charles at all?

Probably several things! Jack's a winter spirit that's been around for three hundred years...he doesn't sleep very often at all, so when he does, his dreams tend to lean either towards vague fragments and clips of his human life, or falling through ice/drowning/waking up suspended in the dark, sometimes not in that order. There'd probably also be a constant overarching impression of loneliness coloring pretty much everything dream-wise, as it's a feeling that's spanned about as long as his lifetime--though Jack's made a fighting effort at denting it with his affection for children, and his newly-acquired status as Guardian. SO BASICALLY A LOT OF STUFF, which I'd probably just be better off specifying if the occasion ever arises |D;

I had actually been thinking about this!

Mirar is from a world were magic is entirely real, everyone knows it's real, and everyone knows that there are five gods which are beings made out of magic. They are spiritual rather than physical and there's no need to have faith in them because they take part in human events and appear before humans and talk to humans etc etc.

So okay. Given that, in Mirar's world, there is no Jack Frost and he'd never have heard that myth. But he does believe in magic and spiritual creatures, and he's a magic user himself. I don't think he would have any problem with believing in Jack and believing that Jack was a magical creature. He just wouldn't have heard of Jack to begin with.

How would you feel about him picking up Jack's presence through his emotions, and then talking aloud to him - and then being able to see Jack, as they start to talk? I don't think he'd be able to see him at first, but he'd obviously start to believe in him as they were talking. What do you think?

Her nightmares will reveal that she had been trapped alone in an art exhibit with living, hostile paintings that have been trying to hurt her. Being on the Charon and the docking event at Rapture might add a few more monsters to her nightmares and just make it worse. She's just very scared and feeling unsettled... which Mirar can probably already sense out. If he gets a chance to learn about her nicer dreams, they'll reveal she loves her parents and misses them a lot.

A man named Garry with a blue rose might also show up in her dreams. Basically... ANYTHING THAT HAPPENED TO HER IN CANON. I DON'T WANNA SPAM YOUR POST OMG However, Ib is a multiple choice, multiple ending game... and I've picked certain choices for Ib that may be different from other playthroughs. Regarding allergic reactions – yes, absolutely! He could isolate the component that’s causing the reaction and remove it, and then return the body to its natural non-reactive state. It’s basically the same thing he’d do for infections or poisonings, he’d just have to concentrate for a minute to find where the problem was. :)

What, if anything, would Mirar learn about your character through their dreams? Well, for one, as a 12 year old, Nigredo has some very disturbing nightmares thanks to being a child soldier. He keeps himself tightly in control but secretly doesn't want to be, and he has this brother complex like you would not believe. Aside from that, in general, he's a boy and gentle in nature when dreaming on lighter things.

As a warning, Nigredo is mentally linked to his two other brothers at all times, and dream sharing/linking might make them notice, depending on the players' terms.

Can Mirar touch your character's mind through dreams? Definitely! Jake's consciousness tends to dream, I believe, when his body is possessed by the entity attached to him at night. Could make for interesting CR!
What, if anything, would Mirar learn about your character through their dreams? Through context in his canon, Jake seems to dream about things related to the presence possessing him, which can be any manner of symbolism and even glimpses of what the presence is up to while he's not consciously in control. It's hard to say what exactly such things would be so if you'd be interested in doing something with this, we can definitely discuss for more specific things he could pick up.
Can Mirar dreamlink with your character? I would be okay with this and it could be an interesting way for Jake to try and learn what happens when he's asleep and the presence is awake. Before, he monitored It's actions with video, but since the pocket watch probably directly uploads to the network instead of simply acting as a recording/storage device, that wouldn't work. There'd definitely need to be a level of trust from Jake's end, but t'would be an interesting CR opportunity for sure!

Thank you for this! They could have some wonderful potential CR. I have to say, I know next to nothing about Jake’s canon. If you were interested in that, Mirar could probably discover the existence of the possessing spirit through dreams – he could come across it accidentally, and then reach out deliberately to Jake to see if he’s in trouble? I don’t think he could take the presence out of Jake, but he ought to be able to sense it for sure.
