She had just been making a joke, but Mirar had taken it a step deeper. Not that she minded, but it was a shift for her to hear him so serious when she had been light about it. But she didn't exactly know what it was like for Mirar, in all honesty. She joked about his time before her, but what did he think about that time compared to now? She didn't doubt his loyalty to her, but it was still a shift for him.
Apparently he seemed to think her joking wasn't far off base.
She leaned her face into his touch as he cupped her cheek.
"Then may I always make you content, for you will always be with me," she answered him. She lost her edge of humor and was just as serious as him now as she looked up at him. "I love you."
