She had opened the door and was in his arms almost before he was finished speaking. Mirar laughed, gathered her up in a tight hug, and moved past the door with her still in his arms. Turning his head, he kissed her cheek and pushed the door shut again with his foot.
“I get the impression you missed me,” he said, leaning back enough to smile at her. He still had his arms around her, though. She certainly seemed to be in a good mood. He’d missed her too. It seemed to him that they were more likely to spend time apart now that they were living in the city, and they had more space to move. He wasn’t sure he liked that side of this development.
